Edit redirect to a different url and keep access to the WP blog simultaneously
-
I redirected my “We Serve” Blog to a new site, how can I keep my wordpress site for reference? Plus, the site I directed to does not work properly since doing so. How can I transfer users to the new site and still keep the old site as a content reference?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I redirected my site frankfortlionsclub.com to a new site, and now the new site does not work properly, how can I edit the re-direct instruction? I also want to maintain the content of frankfortlionsclub.com as a reference source for pictures and data to use on the new site.

Hi there,
I took a look at your redirect and it appears that the URL which you’re redirecting to doesn’t work quite right when you specify “index.php,” but when you leave that off it loads great. I updated your redirect and it is now working fine. Please go ahead and check out frankfortlionsclub.com and see if that is working how you wanted it to.
In regards to your other question, the contents of your site will always remain there and won’t go away, even if you let all of your products expire. However as long as you have that redirect in place then it will continue to send visitors to the site which you’ve got in place over at e-clubhouse.org. If you want both to be in place at the same time, you will need to map your domain to e-clubhouse.org instead of forwarding it, which means you’ll need to contact the folks at e-clubhouse.org to see if they provide such an option.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks. I wondered how the new site miraculously began functioning. Now, I am excited to try your next suggestion of mapping the old site to the new site. It is all Greek to me.

I hope you don’t mind that I took that liberty. I figured that you would have preferred having your site working correctly.
About the domain mapping, it will involve changing how your domain is pointing with your domain registrar. The folks at e-clubhouse.org may not provide the service so this may be how things work for now, but at least your original site with us will not go anywhere and you’ll still have the site, even if it’s not visible for the time being!
