Edit RSS feed or exclude gravatar?

Can I edit the RSS feed or somehow auto-tag images to work with MailChimp RSS_Driven campaigns?

My cityofcg.wordpress.com/feed (among others) is used to add content to weekly emails I send from MailChimp.com. That service will only grab the first image in the feed (which is the gravatar-BORING!) or the image marked with “media:content”, which in trying to add this tag, deletes the image but is also unreasonable because that won’t work with post-from-email.

So how can I exclude the gravatar in my WordPress.com RSS feed or automatically mark the primary image in a post with “media:content” in the code? Is there a 3rd party plug-in that works with WP.com?

And I did try to research forums at WP and MC. I have contacted MC support. If I missed an obvious answer, my apologies.

  • Unfortunately, there’s no way around that from our end. Please let us know if MailChimp has any helpful suggestions.
