Edit theme CSS
-
Hello, I am quite new to WordPress and I am struggling to work with the site CSS. I am using the Sela theme and I want to delete the text in the home button, I have found the code to add so the text won’t appear, but I can’t find a way how to edit the site CSS. In some forums I have read that it should come up under the customiser but it is just not part of the site. I am using the free version and I am not sure if this has any impact in the options to edit it. Thanks in advance, Sara

Hello Sara,
Customizing/Editing the CSS is a part of the paid WordPress.COM Premium and Business plans. Please upgrade to any one of these plans in order to be able to edit the CSS codes.
More information about this can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
Thanks! 🙂

Hi Sara, can you confirm if you are wanting to hide the “home” from the white box over the image, or are you wanting to edit and remove the “home” in the top navigation?
If you wish to change “home” to something else in the white box over the image, that is the title of the page you have set as your front page. You can edit that page and change the title of that page to anything you want.

Thank you both.
The sacredpath, I am wanting the white box not to show in the homepage because it covers the image.
I think that otpidusprime has answered my question anyway, I was hoping that I’d be able to do something with the CSS in the free version.
Thanks
