Edit User Access / Student Role (No Publish)
-
I’m using this blog for my classroom, and I want to prevent my students from being able to post to the web, but I want them to have access to write posts for me to review, and then I post them to the web. Is there a way to accomplish this with the Premium WordPress.com Account?
I’ve tried looking into adjusting what actions different user roles are allowed to have, but i dont see that level of customization. If it’s out there, please let me know!
I did find a plugin, but it appears I dont have the right setup to install those.
Thank you for looking!
Thanks!

Perhaps including an “Add Content Form” at the end of a post for your students. They can add their writing, it’s emailed to you, then you have access without having to allow them a way to post directly. You can review their material, and post it yourself.
A Premium Account is not needed for this feature. The “Add Content Form” is available on your New Post box, along with Add Media and Add Poll.

You don’t need an upgrade of any kind at all to invite multiple users to contribute to the blog and purchasing an upgrade does not change anything in regard to what you posted.
Have you reviewed these user roles? Note the Contributor role.
