Edited and Published Pages

  My edited and published pages do not look the same. The published pages all have the same three paragraphs at the beginning of them, and that is not on the editing pages. This is for an assignment, so I need help please.

  Hi there,

  I can see here that you appear to have edited your “page” template: https://karlycarter.wordpress.com/wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template

  To clarify, this template is meant to be blank for the most part (it’s intended to be the starting point that all pages use to display their content) but I can see if I click to edit that you appear to have edited the page template to add the contents of a specific page.

  Because the template is the starting point for the other pages, this text gets included in those pages as well.

  You can address this by resetting the template, which you can do by clicking this option:

  

  This will remove the repeating text (that is in the template itself) and allow each page to display the contents you added here: https://wordpress.com/pages/
