Edited blog not updating when linking to social media

I published a blog to say, “article coming shortly” so I could get the live link. I have now updated the content and while it’s displaying correctly in WordPress, when I go to share it on social media, it is still pulling the original version of the post (“article coming shortly”) instead of the new content. Any ideas why and how I can correct it to pull the most updated version?

Hi there,
Most social media sites do indeed cache information, and so if you share an article with certain information then it is difficult to get them to pull the new and updated versions. Facebook has provided a user-facing tool which allows you to do this right here:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
However the other social media outlets do not have any such cache-clearing tools that we are aware of presently.
