We posted a blog post, saw it, changed font and colors of banner, lost part of blog content and can’t seem to make it visible again. help!

Yesterday I wrote a whole blog..and when I previewed it most of it was gone! Rewrote and the same thing happened a second time! Very frustrating! Went back to a previous version and there was more there but not all. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your reply. We tried changing the color of the background of the header as well as the text and it doesn’t seem to save the changes. Are we doing something wrong or is Skylark glitchy?

I don’t know much about CSS. I’ll move this thread into that forum so someone with that expertise will see it.

CSS = Cascading style sheets. If you need to expand that definition then please use Google search to do so.
As far as I know Skylark is not glitchy . However, we Volunteers don’t recommend that those who aren’t experienced with CSS editing purchase the custom design upgrade as there’s next to no Volunteer support for this upgrade and Staff have a backlog.
When you alter a theme’s stylesheet, you only need to put in the Editor the modification/additions to the CSS, not the entire thing. This may help you with determining selectors. https://wpcom-themes.svn.automattic.com/skylark/style.css
Please be patient and Staff will assist you when they can.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This was due to a bug with the Skylark theme. It should be fixed now.
