Edited text which shows up in the preview window, ISN'T updated to my blog

  I used to be able to edit and update easily. Not anymore. The edit of my text, whilst being displayed in the preview isn’t updated into my blog when I press update.

  If you can point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate that.

  And as the new edit page helpfully doesn’t give balloons indicating what the row of boxes across the top do, might you also direct me to a page that does?

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry to hear that the tool tips (the little bubbles over the buttons) aren’t working for you. I just checked all three major browsers (Firefox, Chrome, and Safari) and they appeared for me. Is your browser up to date and have you restarted your computer recently?

  And the same goes for updates. Once you preview your post, a draft should be saved automatically and then once you are satisfied with it when you hit the Update button a new version should be uploaded without any issue (and I just tested that as well).

  If this continues to be a problem, we do still have our older editor which you can always use. It’s available from your Dashboard >> Posts >> Add New. You can post from there in a similar way but it should work just fine!

  Thanks for helpful and speedy reply! I’m impressed. How does one find out which version of wordpress they’re using and if they need an upgrade, how does one do it? I’m guessing the answer os simple but ever so frustrating when you don’t know!

  Oh, I’m sorry I wasn’t clear. I meant updated browser versions! We keep your WordPress version completely up-to-date at all times, which is one of the reasons that most people go with us rather than having a self-hosted WordPress.org site. They don’t have to worry about updating their site!
