    I’ve been trying to edit my blog page, widgets and all those extra stuff you have in one’s page for two days now. I made a welcoming post and when I reviewed my blog there was this thing called ”First post” widget below that looked completely out of place so I try to remove it. I can’t figure out how to remove it. Next is the text widget in which I wrote a description of my blog yesterday and hit save. But apparently it wasn’t saved and today I saw it on its standard version again. Why is your site so unfriendly to its users? Why are such procedures so complicated when you can make it so extremely easy for users to edit their blogs? And please don’t tell me that I need to go premium to have easy control of my page because I’m instantly leaving wordpress if you say that. I’m trying to make a blog and your site makes it look like I’m trying to figure out rocket science. I’ve never seen such odd blog editing methods before. Either tell me *exactly* what to do or do me the favor and do it yourself because right now I’m quite frustrated and disappointed with your site and just about ready to quit it.

    Howdy –

    I’ll be happy to help get this sorted. As of now, I see the text widget at the bottom of https://nerdyfiles.wordpress.com/.

    That “first post” is just an example to show you how the blog is going to look and display posts with the theme that you pick. You can delete that via My Sites > Posts > First Post > Delete. Once you do that it will be removed from the front page of the blog.

    To edit your widgets you’ll click on My Sites < Customize > Widgets > Select Widget title. The red delete link is at the bottom of the widget box.

    Alright, I did try deleting this but it seemed to not delete it or maybe it was a bug of the page when I tried it? I don’t know but I’ll try it again I guess. Thanks for your reply! Can I delete this post here now?

    You can delete any single post at http://nerdyfiles.wordpress.com/ wp-admin/edit.php Hover over the post title and click the Trash link.

    You can delete all posts by using this guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/

    We do not delete these forum posts. In the future if someone else is searching for help with a similar problem they will find this thread and it may help them out.

    Let me know if you’re still having trouble deleting the First Post.
