  So far I’m not pleased with the editing and layout of the pages. My featured image is getting cropped. I can’t activate the curser below an image. I sometimes need text to wrap around an image.
  Also, creating navigation menus are a complete mystery.
  The theme of this site is textual articles and nuggets accompanied by world class photography.

  Hey there,

  It looks as though the theme you have active on vinlibassi.wordpress.com is Motif, which is actually now retired as you can see you here: https://wordpress.com/theme/motif/.

  Are you perhaps talking about another website that is using a different theme, if so please provide the URL?

  As far as your issues go, the majority are general to all WordPress.com sites:

  This is likely because the image uploaded is outside the supported parameters of the featured image section. Each theme typically specifies an image height and width that is optimal for the area. Once we know what theme you are using we may be able to provide these specifics to you.
