Editing a past post – how to prevent it from appearing as a 'new' post?
-
Hello,
I need to edit an old post from six months ago (change the title, featured image and post text) and I need to make sure that the post will not appear anywhere as a recently published post, but stays on the page as normal. In other words it will not pop up as a recent post.
Is there a way I can make sure the post will not move automatically anywhere but stays where it is currently published? Thank you in advance.
Best regards,

Hi ainohalme
If you keep the original date of your post, and not set the post as sticky or featured, it shall remain on the current and normal position.
You can check the post date in the post’s Publish box (the one that have the Publish button) on the admin area (ainolainen.wordpress.com/wp-admin) or in the “Change Status” on your post edit page (click “edit” on your post).
Hope that helps. Please get in touch if you have more questions
Cheers
