Editing a post
-
I entered a post and then went back to edit it. I pressed save and it remains there, but it does not transfer to the home page. There is no “publish” button at the end of the edit section? There is an “edit and save” and a “save” button…just no “publish”. It says I saved it, but how do I transfer it to the home page??

If you’re editing, you won’t see a Publish button, since the post is already published. Just click save, and then check the post on the blog. The changes should be made.

Strange. I have isolated the problem. I can bring up the main page and enter any area and edit it and it will change. However, when I go back to the main page…no changes have occurred?? Confusing?? For example, I go to the main page and there is a category “about”…that would be personal info on me. I enter there and edit it and the change occurs. However, when I exit to the main page again….no change?? Makes no sense??

One more try and the same. The main page appears and is unedited. If I open any section, it opens and is edited according to what I did before. It’s just not getting to the main page????

Perhaps you are looking at a cached version from the temporary internet files. Try emptying your browser cache and reloading the page.
Any changes to do with the sidebars, can take a little bit to update (categories, tags, etc.) as the sidebars are cached at wordpress and in some cases depending on server load may take up to an hour or so to update.
