Editing a published post

I cannot get the edited version to “stick”- I can’t locate an “apply” button, and keep losing the edited lines on the text. Has it always been this complicated or am I just blind today? I have edited text before…can’t recall how.

I figured out how to edit. Type changes & press “update Post”. Now why was that so difficult?
Now I need to know what vivianpage means “we need a link etc…”

There are many folk who come to the wp.COM forums when they have .ORG self hosted blogs.
Advice for .com blogs does not usually apply to .org blogs so we volunteers in the forum need to see if you are in the right forum.
Sometimes threads go on for days, wasting the time of us volunteers and the questioner because the answers don’t apply.

special attention to #2 on the list!So vivianpaige is really being very helpful to you and to us volunteers.
It is also very polite for a questioner to link their name to their blog (or at the least to provide a link starting with http so we can see exactly what you are asking about)

Thank you, Tess. The way I identified my blog: above mining towns etc littlepatti etc… was that o.k.? Or should I have done something differently?

Oh dear, you should never put your email in a public forum. Spammers will pick it up and you’ll be deluged with junk mail. I put a modlook here so they can remove it. I’m sorry I didn’t check what your link was last night.

Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now… when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won’t have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one. -
