editing and reassigning post categories

  Three years on, I’d like to reorganize the categories on my blog – ie delete some and add some new ones, reassigning them to previously published posts. If I do this in ‘quick edit’ will the posts all be re-sent to my email subscribers and RSS feeds? Obviously I’d like to avoid this.
