Editing Blog address

    First timer. So I created a blog names ‘Sauditumbleweed.wordpress.com.’ Practiced with a number of bad posts. Then I created another blog ‘Sauditumbeweepart1 and put up my work, I like. Now I tried to change my work block to ‘Sauditubleweed’ but it would not let me change the address, saying it already exists. I went ahead and deleted my previous blog address. ‘sauditumbleweed.wordpress.come’ BUT STILL CANNOT USE THE SAME BLOG ADDRESS. Is there a way I can use that blog address again??? THanks in advance.

    Hello there!

    Unfortunately, once a website is deleted you cannot retrieve its URL address, which means that the action can’t be undone nor you can’t re-use the URL related to the deleted site. That is done to respect bloggers’ ownership of their content.

    There are a few exceptions which fall into the recycling URL site addresses, however you case doesn’t look being one of these to me.

    I’m going to tag this to Staff attention anyway as I am wondering whether they’re able to retrieve the fresh-deleted address for you, since it looks like it has just happened.

    Very helpful and a bit encouraging. My green fingers crossed so that perhaps I can use the blog address. The reason being that the original name “Sauditubmbleweed” was searchable on Google. not new name.
