editing blog name

WordPress is so frustrating. Not for the first time, I’ve just spent an hour at this task without success – so I’m calling all wordpress users.
H EEEEE L P !
‘Support’ tells me to go to “setting” on the dashboard, but there is no “settings” on the dashboard!
It’s in the left-hand column, but there is only one column.
I can highlight the title on the blogs menu, but – hey ho! – this menu doesn’t come up any more.
I saw ‘configuration’ somewhere – where was that? Hey ho nonny no!
OK, let me go to ‘privacy’ until I sort it out. Now, where did I see that? -
http://stayinandalucia.wordpress.com/wp-admin is your Dashboard on Admin page link. On the far left hand side scroll down and locate “Settings”. When you hover over it there a flyout menu appears > click “General”. http://stayinandalucia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php You can change your blog title on the top line on that General Settings page and then click “save changes”.
