Editing captions to existing images & pop up on photos not working like before
-
Hello, I’m really hoping you can help me.
I have already uploaded 2 photos on the editing page of a blog I’m working on, using add media, and have added the same text for the alt text, caption and title for one photo. When I save this, none of the alt text, caption or title shows on the photo in the real page, if you know what I mean. I have removed the photos from the editing page twice, re-added the text in the alt text, caption and title and the required text still doesn’t show up. What am I doing wrong?A second quick question please: before I uploaded the new version 5.4 of word press, I was able to have the photos pop up in the framed white photo in the real page. The words previous(photo) and next (photo) and the caption for the photos showed up at the bottom of the photo but now none of that happens. I used to be able to click on one photo in the saved version and it would allow me to click on next (photo) to see all the photos I had uploaded onto that page. Please can you help?

Hi there!
I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.

Hi there, thank you for this. I’ll ask the company who’s hosting my website. Sorry about that.
