Editing Categories

  Hello,

  I am getting back onto my wordpress after five years and updating it. I have a Category section that has a drop down of several categories. I would like to remove some of them and do not know how to do it in this newer updated version of wordpress. I knew how to do it in the old one in my dashboard.

  Hi there,

  There is a Categories section in your sidebar which is created using the Categories widget.

  It is not possible to edit categories in this widget. All categories that are attached to posts will be displayed in the widget.

  Instead, you can make use of Navigation Menu Widget to list only the categories you wish to show.

  You need to create a custom menu first, add all the categories that you wish to show in this menu, and then select this menu in the Navigation Menu Widget.
