Editing content in the footer

    Good afternoon!

On my blog in the footer there is an “About Us” listing that I would like to remove-both the name and the text below it. Is this possible? When I’m in “Widgets” on the dashboard I see that there are four footer boxes, but I can’t figure out how to do anything with them, and I assume that these four boxes are the key to my question above, yes?

    Thanks much for your time!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Yep, those four boxes are the key! :)

By default, the Linen theme shows four sections (About Us, Pages, Categories, and Search) in your blog’s footer. Each of the four footer boxes on the Widgets page in your dashboard corresponds to one of those footer columns on your blog. (You can read more about Widgets in general here: Widgets)

If you add a new widget to one of those footer boxes on the Widgets page, it will replace the default content in that section of your blog’s footer. For example, to remove the “About Us” section you can add a blank Text Widget to the Footer 1 area.

If you add text to that Text widget, or if you add any other widgets to the Footer 1 area, that content will appear in the first column of your footer.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
