editing current stylesheet?

  i just purchased the css upgrade, and literally, all i want to do is change my text to be white and my background to black.

  i have css/html knowledge, but i am struggling with how to EDIT the CURRENT stylesheet.

  any help would be super appreciaited.

  i’m trying to not be a n00b here, but wordpress as a site is confusing the crap out of me.

  You don’t actually edit here. Put the specific sections of the CSS, and only the specific declarations you are going to change into the CSS edit window and make sure “add to existing…” is selected.
