Editing headings in Recipe shortcode
-
Hi there!
I just found the Recipe shortcode and I’m loving it! I’ve searched around the forums and made a few edits to my CSS for background colour, etc. My question is whether or not I can edit the subheadings – Servings, Time & Difficulty. I make things like jam/jelly that don’t really have servings – I would rather give the number of jars produced. I’m happy to change the headings at a global level to something like “Yield” and then I can put “24 servings” or “4 jars” in the text. Is that possible?
A sample of the code in action on my site is: http://myfoododyssey.com/2014/10/01/zucchini-cake-muffin-recipe/
Thanks a million!

Hi June,
As of right now, the recipe shortcode only accepts the attributes shown here:
It isn’t possible to change these attributes to something like yield instead of servings.

Hi Jeremey,
Thanks a million for the reply. Do you think this is something that might be available at some stage in the future? It would certainly be very useful as so many things I make don’t really yield a specific number of servings. Things like mayonnaise, pickles, garlic powder, jam, peanut butter, bread, etc. yield amounts in jars or loaves rather than servings. Something like “yield” or “makes” would be super. Just a thought!
Thanks again,
June. -
Hey June,
It definitely could be something that we add in the future, but we don’t have any definitive plans or dates set just yet. I’ll definitely put it in as an idea. I can see how it would be useful! I’ll try to keep you updated on any progress to modify the shortcode headings.
