editing images

  hello – i’m encountering a problem that i thought was going to be temporary but that seems to be lasting: every time i want to edit the images in a post, two things happen: just hitting “edit” puts the images in a different order than the one i had chosen, and when i get into “edit”, i can’t see the images themselves, they only reappear when i go back into “preview”. not really practical to move anything around or remove a pic, or whatever. can i hope to get that feature back in order someday?

  I strongly suspect you are using the new and so-called improved editor, and that your account is not old enough so you have access to the classic editor. So let’s ask Staff to assist you with sorting this out.

  Please post this specific info here:
  (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
  (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/

  Hi there,

  Are you speaking of image galleries? It’s a known issue that the order changes in the layover when trying to edit the gallery. If you click edit and it shows in the wrong order, close the layover by clicking Cancel and without editing anything, unselect the gallery, then click the gallery and select Edit again. The images should now appear in the correct order.

  As for the images not being visible, I get that sometimes if my connection is having problems. Please try resetting your modem/router by unplugging it for a few seconds, and clear your browser cache. Let me know if that doesn’t help.
