Editing link functions in Myself theme
-
Hi there!
I’m new to the WordPress world. I created pages, added content, and applied a theme. However, in the About Me section of the Myself theme, there is a link that is automatically labeled ‘Hire Me Now’.
When I go to edit it it only lets me change the name of the link and what page it links to. I’d like to change the link to be able to download a PDF.
I created a child theme but do not know where to go from there.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @jagjag92, could you send a link to the site you’re having trouble with? The one you listed here doesn’t allow outside themes on our managed hosting service.
Noting too, these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com. If you need help with an individual WordPress installation you’re running with another host, you’ll want to use the correct forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

It’s gojacobgordon.com
My host is Bluehost integrated with WordPress. When I utilized Bluehost support they sent me here.
I’m not sure which forum I should use D: Help!
Sorry I’m a total noob!

When I utilized Bluehost support they sent me here.
Ahhhh okay. They must have meant to send you here instead:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/Our forums are for the sites hosted here, but the forums with that link are for WordPress installations at Bluehost and other providers. It’s free software rather than a service, so there isn’t a paid “customer support” team there, but the community can be really helpful.
That said, have you considered highlighting the word you want to link, then pasting the link to the pdf? That should work. If it doesn’t, the other forums can help you, but I hope that’s all you need. Good luck!
