Editing linked FB Post

    I link my daily post to my Facebook and Twitter accounts. My posts are only 25 words long. When a reader is viewing my linked post on FB (on a desktop site), the entire post appears in the thumbnail. Since they are able to view the entire story on FB, this is decreasing my site traffic. Is there a way to edit what appears in the linked FB post? I.E. can I shorten the thumbnail post or make only the title appear?

    Judging by your post length, i.e. 25 words, I don’t think there is a way to deliver the just the title.

    You could try creating excerpts for each post, and make them about 12 words or so. Perhaps that might help.

    Also note that any post containing less than 125 words of text can have a very hard time getting indexed by search engines.
