  I am interested, if someone can help me, in editing the text at the top of my home page. I actually do not remember how I even created it in the first place. Thanks very much to the great volunteers who answer so many of these questions.

  You can edit the title and tagline at settings > general. Make sure and click save changes when finished to commit the change.
