Editing Menu
-
Is there any way to edit the menu above the post box? I ask because on another WordPress blog where I contribute writing, their menu has a whole bunch more icon options on it. Is that a CSS upgrade thing, or is there a way I can do that with the new features?

In the html editor the main toolbar has one row of tabs. In the visual editor it has two rows, 28 icons in all; if you only see one row, click the last icon.

I knew that. I meant that I wanted to know how to add icons, beyond the ones that are already on the two rows. Like icons for uploading videos from different sources. But I saw in the faq link that now you have to pay to upload videos. So if I do that, can I add those icons to my icon menu?

If you have paid for the upgrade, the icon will appear. The menu is not editable. What other icons do you think you are missing?
-
Well, it’s not that I think I’m missing icons that should be there. It’s that I have seen additional icons on another WordPress blog that I contribute writing for. They are all icons for videos. For example, there is a YouTube icon, a Google Video icon, Flickr, etc., etc. You just click the icon to add the video you want. I’m just wondering how they got those additional icons on their blog. It’s not that I can’t accomplish the things those icons do w/o having the icons themselves; I know there are other ways. It’s just convenience, really.

I should also add that those additional icons have been on that blog’s menu toolbar for a while now — long predating the new Word 2.7 dashboard.
