EDITING MY THEME

    I HAVE PURCHASED A THEME FROM THEMEFOREST
    I JSUT WANT TO EDIT THE THEME AS SET OUT IN THE LIVE PREVIEW
    BUT IT APPEARS I HAVE REBUILD AND DESIGN IT FROM SCRATCH
    HOW DO I JUST UPLOAD THE THEME AND HAVE THE THEME BE SET OUT AS PURCHASED SO I CAN EDIT IT DIRECTLY?

    Hello, I think I can help with this. Here is the Help article for uploading custom themes. Be advised that they are only compatible with the Business and Commerce plans.

    It’s not really clear from the ThemeForest website, but what they are selling is mostly intended for WordPress.org installations of the software.

    This feature is available on sites with the WordPress.com Business or Commerce plan. If your site has one of our legacy plans, it is available on the Pro plan. In addition to our collection of themes, you can upload third-party themes to your WordPress.com site, including themes from WordPress.org, popular marketplaces like Themeforest, and even themes you have custom-made for your website.

    Hi there,

    @parkdanil provided a great support guide of ours on how to upload a theme. It also appears you’ve already uploaded the third-party theme as your site is on the Business plan.

    The support guide mentioned above also includes a section on how to import and install a third-party theme’s demo content.

    The demo content file usually comes in an XML format. If you’re unable to locate the demo content in your theme’s files, it would be best to reach out to the theme’s support team for assistance.
