Editing page brings up a blank page

    Hi! I’m just getting started with WordPress so might be missing something basic, but when I view my site by pressing ‘Visit Site’ On home, it brings up the page I created but when I press edit, this page is replaced with a blank site which just says ‘Home’… Not sure how to edit the page I put work into.

    Hi there!

    It looks like you added your homepage content to the site template under Appearance -> Editor, not in a Page, so if you plan on having a single page website, you should be OK keeping things as they are and editing the page from the site editor.

    If you plan on adding more content (posts or pages), I would recommend moving the content in the site editor to an individual page and set that as your homepage in your settings. Then, you would want to go into the Editor, select the template (top center) and choose “clear customizations” to reset that to the default, otherwise that content will be on every page you create.
