Editing Page Titles
-
On my homepage, I don’t want the title of the page “Home” to be visible. Is it possible without paying for premium wordpress and editing the CSS?
And separate but maybe related, I have menu items for each category, but the page title shows up with the word “Category” in the front, which is weird… Any way to fix this? https://artofsidewalkcycling.wordpress.com/category/blog/guide-to-urban-biking-with-kids/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If your theme doesn’t have an option to automatically hide the title on the front page, then custom CSS code is the only way.
It could also work to edit the page and remove the title, but that can have a negative effect on your SEO – how search engines index and rank your site.
Removing the word “Category” from category archive pages will also require CSS, yes.

Not possible with a free account then unfortunately OP, as I believe you need a premium account to use your own CSS code.
