Editing Pages

    I’ve worked on my blog for a few months before launching the site. During that time I had to log in through an admin login portal and grew accustomed to the editing layout. However, after launching the website, I noticed that the editing layout is different and I’m unable to edit the same way as I used to.

    For example, pre-launch I was able to create an ‘About the Author’ page and input a title, landing page image, secondary header, and a description of the blog. After launching the site, i went back to edit it through WordPress, but only found a blank page with the title ‘About the Author’ and nothing more. The landing page image was missing, the description was gone, and there is no way to add a secondary title, YET the website itself still displays everything that I made during pre-launch.

    I can always add the description back on through the visual text section, but I wouldn’t know how to edit the secondary title or landing if i chose to change them. This is very difficult to explain, but if anyone has an idea of what I’m talking about, please let me know. I would provide images of the WordPress page and the actual website page, but there doesn’t seem to be a photo upload option here.

    borderlinefree.com is hosted by BlueHost, not by wordpress.com.

    That site is not on WordPress.COM servers and we cannot help with it.

    This is wordpress.COM support. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites and our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
    (3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
