Editing pages

Why does WordPress make it so difficult to edit my blog. Like simply adding photos, changing the text size with the photos? I get a small italic face when I add a photo, not the typeface that I use. The editing panel refuses to show. FUCK!!!!!!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The blog is photopley.wordpress.com but the question is also relevant to my other blogs.

  • Hi, typefaces are determined by your theme and its settings.

If you’re still having trouble, could you confirm whether you’re uploading via wordpress.com/media or somewhere else (in which case, send the URL please), and also let us know any errors you’re seeing?

Also, have you confirmed you see the same issue in multiple browsers? If you don’t, clearing cache in your main browser may well solve the problem.

Please send more details if you still need help.

I know that. However, when I insert a new image, the font is a small italic version. If I copy and paste text from another photo (with the typeface I use) so that I can type in new photo details, whatever I copied resets to the small italic face.
Also why is it so fucking difficult to edit pages and add new media. I have to search and search and search to attempt an ‘edit’ (unsuccessfully).
I am not a computer novice having worked on a Mac since the mid 80’s. Yet WordPress seems to make it so difficult to edit pages. I bet you want me and others to go ‘Premiun’. Right? Taking your cues from Facebook marketing.
Pardon my ‘French’ but I am pissed and frustrated that it’s become so difficult to edit my pages. I clean my cache and cookies every time I exit Firefox to work on other things.

    Steps to edit page.
    Click Pages (left sidebar)
    • Click the name of the page to be edited
    • Edit as required and click the Update button

  • @photopley, I can tell you’re frustrated. I would like to help if I can, but I do need more information to help you sort this out. If it helps we’ll go one at a time.

    – Can you confirm whether you see the issue in another browser? For example, if you’re using Firefox, please confirm whether you run into the same issue in Chrome.

    We’ll go from there.

  • Also, I do want to point you to our community standards page:
    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/best-practices-community-standards/

I understand you’re frustrated, and again, I’d like to help, but cussing and shouting and accusing us of trying to get you to pay for service isn’t going to solve the problem. You’re welcome to say what you need to out loud there if it’s helping you. No more abuse here though. Thanks. :)
