  When I’m trying to edit pages the left and right sides are outside the browser. I can’t find a ‘fit to screen’ option

  Thanks for your reply.

  Firstly I’m completely new to this. This WordPress is supplied by my ISP through Cpanel. Softaculous have something to do with it somewhere. How do I tell which WordPress it is? When I click “about WordPress” it just tells me its version 5.7

  If you are paying a service provider to host and or install your WordPress website then it’s WordPress.org. But if the site is free or you paid for a plan to WordPress.com then it’s a WordPress.com site. It’s hard to explain without getting too technical for a newbie.

  Hello again. Okay I took a look, this all looks way outside my skillset if that’s the cause. I downloaded a simple WP template which I assumed would all work seemlessly for a beginner and trying to set what (in Firefox) are ‘web developer’ tools is outside my comfort zone. Looks like I’ll have to bite the bullet and pay someone to start again.

  Really appreciate the reply however, thanks for taking the time.

  Don’t worry, it really starts to fall in place after a while. Just keep at it!

  Also, not all themes are created equal. Some simply don’t work correctly and it isn’t worth it to keep that theme. I would look for a paid theme. You can get a good one for the $20-$50 range. Most have one year of support too, so if something like this happens, you can create a support ticket and they will log in and help you out.
