Editing permanent page

  Hi all, the main permanent page of my bog site is http://mjmtax.wordpress.com. I would like to be able to edit the content of this page so that it is not black if someone comes to the site via the page http://mjmtax.wordpress.com. The fact that this page would be empty on arrival by a visitor does not look good. Does anyone know how to do this?

  The theme is see on your blog is Monochrome. The background colour appearing behind the text on both pages and posts is white. There is no means of easily clicking buttons to change background colours and fonts on wordpress.com. Will you please post again and expand on what it is that you need help with?
