editing picture

  hi
  if i want to add a picture which is in my media library into a post, i click add media and then select the picture. when i click on “edit” to edit a picture, “Edit Media” window will open. i have options to crop, rotate etc.. if i just rotate a picture and click on “save” button, the new picture (rotated one) will not save?? it will go to original one?

  Also i do not understand why we have in “Edit media” window, “Update” button in the right hand side? what is that for? why we have both “Save” and “Update” buttons?

  sorry i just want to give this update
  it seems i can edit any picture for first time and save it no problem but for second, 3rd, 4th etc when i edit and save it, the new edited picture will not be save, is that how it is designed in wp?
