editing posts – pressing enter inside text box deletes my post

    Recently I updated some links on an old post (which I have previously had no trouble with). I have now noticed that the post appears on my website as one stream of text – all paragraph breaks have been removed. When I go into the edit page to re-establish all the paragraph breaks, I place the cursor at the first location I want to enter a paragraph and press the return key, & the entire post (except for the first few lines) is deleted.
    Any clues appreciated. Thanks
