Editing problems

On one of my blogs http://ccleadville.org/ am unable to edit directly from the page, even when I am logged in. I always have to go through the dashboard to do any editing.
On a related note (at least I think it’s related) – since I can’t do the editing directly from the page, the stats are showing really high hits, when it was really only me, checking my changes until I got them right.
Any help here?

If you’re logged in the whole time it shouldn’t count your hits at all. Just stay logged in. If you’re not logged in when you view the front end of the blog (ie the side the readers see) you won’t ever see the Edit button. I think that’s your problem. Instead of signing out from Dashboard, click View Site.

Maybe I’m not being clear… I am logged in, and in the dashboard. I hit the “view site” option and it takes me to my blog and there are NO editing options available when I get there. I never sign out from dashboard, I just view the site.
If I go back to the dashboard after doing that, it will show an additional hit on my site (the one I just did by clicking “view site” – because it’s not registering me as being logged in by the time I get there, for some reason).

Hmm, I go in and out of my site all the time while signed in when editing and setting up pages or such and it never counts my visits. The only time it counts them is if I’m signed out.

That’s what I thought, just double-checking.
Do you see the Blue Admin Bar on the top of your blog when you’re looking at it? There did used to be a spontaneous kicking-out bug.

When I am in the dashboard, yes I see the blue admin bar. When I click “view site” I suddenly do not have the blue admin bar (that’s the problem).
Yes, I do have cookies enabled. I’m using Vista Home if that makes any difference. This problem only began about a week ago, prior to that it was fine.
By the way, I’m now having a second problem with the same blog (a main page that won’t let me edit it) but we can deal with that after we get this one taken care of. Maybe they are related?
