editing problems

  Hey, what’s up? The last time I tried to publish a post, a previous draft (rather than the final saved one) was published. Today, I am making edits, push preview and my edits will sometimes not be saved. Often, it will appear saved but then after a second edit, a recent change will disappear (one paragraph will return to an earlier version). So so frustrating! Thanks!

  Hi there,

  Issues like what you’re describing usually crop up in instances where users are editing with multiple tabs or windows open. In those other windows, they say that they were working on or referring to other blog articles of theirs. We’ve found that this results in the auto-save feature getting confused and writing auto-saves to the other post.

  If you had another tab or window open (or even the WordPress.com app on a mobile device), then you might want to take a look to see if revisions are available there and take care to only have one tab open at a time when editing. You also may want to give another browser a try if it continues to give you issues as sometimes certain browsers can have issues.
