Editing Purchased Theme
-
Hi! I am another simpleton who has no idea what she is doing (sorry in advance).
I purchased a theme (Curator Theme) and I can’t figure out how to customize the things I want to – centre the menu bar, etc. Is it possible to edit the HTML when you purchase a theme? I am wondering if that’s not the case, because to do so, I would probably have access to someone’s very hard work that I could just copy and sell somewhere else if I was an evil person.
Any help on this would be so great. Thank you in advance.

Hi there! No need to be sorry, we were all beginners once. ;-)
There is no access to theme files on WordPress.com.
In Curator, there are several layout options in the Customizer’s Theme Options panel:
To make tweaks beyond the ones available in the Customizer, you could add custom CSS to override the theme’s CSS styles. Custom CSS is available with the Premium or Business plans.
As a premium theme, Curator has its own forum where you can get help:
https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/curatorIf you decide to upgrade, we also have a CSS Customization forum where you get help as well.
