When you edit soothfairy.com on Firefox for Android, your own activity is likely being counted because the browser’s Enhanced Tracking Protection is stripping away the “login cookie” that identifies you as the administrator. To prevent these self-views, you must go to Jetpack > Settings > Traffic and ensure that “Count logged-in page views from” has the Administrator role unchecked. Because Firefox mobile often blocks cross-site scripts by default, you should also tap the Shield icon in your browser’s address bar while viewing your site and toggle the protection OFF specifically for your domain; this allows the Jetpack “ignore” cookie to function properly. If the views persist, it is helpful to log in via the official Jetpack/WordPress app instead of a mobile browser, as the app uses a direct API connection that is far more reliable at filtering out owner activity than a browser with strict privacy settings.

Thanks ffot that – most helpful. Couldn’t find “Count logged-in page views from” in Jetscript though.
