Editing Side Bar Information

  I need to edit the social media links in our side bar, but I can not find anywhere to do so. All help pages point me to Appearances in the left-hand menu, but I do not have this option. I am the only user for our website so I should have full admin permissions but I also can’t find how or where to check those to make sure it is correct.

  Hey there; I can confirm you’re listed as an editor, but that wouldn’t let you access the widgets on the site. Can you ask the administrator to grant you access, even if it’s brief?

  That’s part of the problem, there is only one log in for our website and I have it. I don’t know how the permission settings were changed.

  Every WordPress.com site must have an Administrator account, and your site has an Administrator which is under a different WordPress.com user account than the milargeanimal account you’re posting under (which is an Editor on the site) currently.

  The Administrator account has been in place since the site was created, and the milargeanimal account was added to the site approximately two years ago.

  Check with your organization to see what this other account’s login would be, log in under that account, and you should be able to access the Administrative functions of the site and change those links you need to change.
