editing template

    Hi

I am totally new to this and have a simple blog, I don’t have a theme have not purchased anything and don’t understand what all the .php files are I see people talking about.

All I did was set up a page with a header (picture imported from computer) and have posted a password protected film blog for a small group to access.

I want to do is change the bright green font on the panel down the right hand side (archives etc)

Is this possible. I can’t find it in edit.
    thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ignore the stuff you’ve been reading about php files; it does not apply to your WP.com blog; it only applies to a WP.org blog, which you do not have.

You can’t edit the colour of the fonts in the widgets without the $30 a year Custom Design upgrade.

OK thank you for clearing that up

so I can buy a Custom Design upgrade just for my .com blog?

where do I do that ?

You do that on the Dashboard Upgrades/Store page, but I advise you not to spend any money till you’ve been around WP.com for a month or so. You don’t just pick a colour off a colour wheel for this; you have to actually edit CSS code. You might not want to get in that deep right away.

I see, ok. I also would like very much to increase the size of the image in the header which is small centred and narrow but I guess there’s no way to do that either without this upgrade?
