Editing text on a new page

  Every time I try to enter text into the window of the new page it double spaces it. I want to enter a paragraph but I can’t seem to hit enter without it double spacing the entry. How do I get rid of the double spacing?

  I just want to enter
  Sentences like this
  and then go to the next
  line
  but
  everytime I hit enter

  It double spaces them
  HOW DO I STOP IT!!!!!
