Editing the “About the Site” box

I’m really new this, but how do I edit the “About the Site” box on my home page? I can’t find anything on my Dashboard to let me edit this and it’s driving me crazy.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In your dashboard, you’ll see “pages”. Click on that, then you’ll see the “about” link. Click on that to edit it.

Oops, I take that back. I checked your blog to see what you were talking about, and it appears that you’ve chosen a theme that has some built-in widgets. Check out your widgets under “appearance”, and you’ll be able to override what you see on the right column on your page.

Actually with that theme, the about widget cannot be edited as I remember. It simply copies and displays the blog tagline. It is one of the theme-generated sample widgets and it will go away once a widget is actually added to the sidebar by the blog owner. In fact all the sample widgets displayed will disappear once a widget is added to the sidebar. You then have to add in the widgets that you actually want at appearance > widgets.
