Editing the front page

  How do I edit text on the front page? When I go to pages in the dashboard, the other 5 pages are displayed, but not the front page. Unlike the other pages, when the front page is displayed I can’t find the option to edit.

  That’s because it’s not a Page at all. It is your Blog, where your blog Posts go. If you want to add things to it, make new posts.

  So is there a way I can edit the existing post, rather than making a new one? Or can I delete this post before making a new one? Sorry if this is a very basic question, but I’m new to this.

  Of course you can edit existing posts. Just go to the specific post page and click Edit. Depending on the theme that shows by the comments, near the top, or with the tags.

  I suggest you not judge the blog’s look until you have at least three posts up. Before then, it never looks right.
