Editing the Meta widget?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

New to WP so be gentle!

I am using the default template and am currently just trying to sort out my widgets! However, I can’t seem to figure out if it’s possible to edit the Meta widget. I can alter the title, but not the actual links included in the widget.

Can someone tell me if this is possible?

    Many thanks.

P.S. So far I am really loving WP, top stuff.

Afraid not as if you were able to change the widget, you’d be changing it for everybody here. (We share the code on the servers.)

Best bet would be to create a text widget, copy and paste the links you want in there and then just not use the Meta widget.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi,

Thanks for the response and it turned out that it wasn’t a problem anyway. I was wanting to have the login link on the meta, which I realised you get when viewing the blog and not being logged into WP!

Don’t worry, I do feel dumb!

    Thanks again.

What is the meta widget for please?

It’s for the blog administrator to have easy access to the dashboard or the RSS feed.
