editing the text widget

  In the section on the home page that says it is a text widget that can be customized by pressing the customizer button – when I press customizer and then click on widget, no option for text box comes up. I only have the option of footer 1 and I have customized that already.
  Also how do I see where my page will look to others when they visit?

  If you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the site any and all widgets can be added or removed here

  Also, note that widgets have visibility settings that determine which pages they will be displayed on. See: Widget Visibility https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility
