Editing the the default background picture in widget area…
-
Hi!
I’m clueless on how to access the Piqué theme widget area’s DEFAULT PHOTO. There seems to be no entry to edit or delete the photo (I only can the 3 widgets). -Strange.Can anyone please help me? I’d be most thankful and not so clueless anymore.

Hi,
The background image of the footer widget area is made from the default header image, https://s0.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/pique/assets/images/default-header.jpg. Hide the header image and the widget area background image will be gone too.

Hi!
I’m to sure where/what a header image you refer to is. But I now tried to hide the widgets in the footer panel and it worked. The thing is, there is no button to access editing the photo, -seems like I can’t keep the blogs widget area if I want to get rid of the photo… Is that what you meant? -

Hi,
You’re welcome.
I’m [not?] to sure where/what a header image you refer to is.
The Piqué theme comes with a default header image. See the Deleting Header Images section of the Custom Header Image support page.
Because the default background image in the footer widget area is dependent upon the header image, it you hide the default header image at Customize > Header Image, and don’t replace it with another image, then the background image in the footer widget area will be gone too. In my tests, it was replaced by a gray background color.seems like I can’t keep the blogs widget area if I want to get rid of the photo… Is that what you meant?
Not at all. You don’t have to forfeit any widget areas.
