Editing theme – adjusting header
-
I recently started up a new blog and was thrilled to quickly find a theme that matches the colours of my business, except for a small detail. When I uploaded my own header to the theme the red bars remained on either side of the image, which I don’t want. I have a basic understanding of CSS and HTML but couldn’t seem to get rid of them, can someone please help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you have purchased the CSS customization upgrade then you perhaps remove the two red/brown strips on either side of the header image. Without it you can’t as it’s not in the header image itself.
Also note that once you have the CSS upgrade, the custom headers you upload won’t work; you will need to paste the address of your header from Dashboard > Manage > Uploads into #header under background url.
There is a preview function you can use prior to making the decision to purchase the CSS upgrade. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/ and http://en.support.wordpress.com/editing-css/
