Editing translated content

    Hi all,
    My apologies if this question has been asked already, but I didn’t see the answer yet.

    I’m looking to add a Dutch translation to my blog. Getting a Translate link or button isn’t the problem. However, Google Translate isn’t quite flawless yet.

    It’s possible to edit the job that the automatic translator has done, using Google’s own Website Translator Plugin. However, this requires one to paste an identifying piece of code before the closing tag in the HEAD section of the web pages. If I’m not mistaken, this is not possible for WordPress.com pages. Is there any workaround to this problem?

    We do not have FTP access and we bloggers cannot install any plugins, we cannot use Microsoft or Google translation widgets or any others, as they are JavaScript and it’s stripped out to preserve security on this multiuser blogging platform. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    Note: You can copy and paste the code on my Translations page and then replace every occurrence of my blog’s URL in the code with your own blog’s URL.

    Automatic translation is not available to WordPress.com blogs.     Thanks for your reply, thistimethisspace. I saw the translator workaround earlier, but it won’t let me edit. Double-posting my blog entries would work, but then I wouldn’t get the comments in the same place (I don’t mind the comments being in different languages), and unless I made a static front page it’d get kinda messy. Choices, choices!
