  How do I change my website name?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  On the Settings->General page, change the Title.

  The site title is correct, but I would like the website name to be the same.
  eg jandeatonphotography.wordpress.com instead of jandeaton.wordpress.com

  Safest is to register a new blog jandeatonphotography.wordpress.com – then export the content from the old blog and import it to the new blog – then put a note on the old blog “we have moved” (and then set the old content on the old blog to Private or Draft so search engines will not see duplicate content) – or better buy Site Redirect for $13.-/yr to send traffic automatically to the new site

  I don’t have much on the site yet. How do I just delete the old site? Then I can start over with new. Since I don’t know how to export, import or anything since I’m so new to all this.

  Please don’t delete the old site – people always regret that move and you can use the old site for practice

  Dashboard >> Settings >> Reading >> Visible only to those I choose

  The link i gave above has a link to how to Export & Import – it’s not that hard – just follow the instructions

  Or you can copy the text from the old site to the new one if you want – then the images would need to be uploaded again
